It looks like summer may finally have arrived here in Quebec (we’ve had a few little teasers, but today is looking glorious and sunny!). I am inspired to really get going on my summer blog projects, and I’m excited to be teaming up with some of my blogging friends to bring you inspiration all summer long as part of the Spectacular Summer Blog Hop.
Throughout June, July, and August, I’ll be one of 12 bloggers participating in a weekly blog hop, all about summery party ideas, recipes, crafts, and decor. Every Monday and Thursday, we’ll take turns sharing our summer projects, so be sure to check back twice a week for teasers to each participant’s post.
This is all organized by Leslie from Playdates to Parties, and she is kicking off the hop with some charming and FREE summer party printables. I don’t know about you, but I’m planning to snag some of these sweet printable banners, labels, and cards to use for some of the parties we have planned for this summer. (For those of you who I’m meeting for the first time today, July is very much like Christmas in our family: there’s a birthday or anniversary at least twice a week!)
One of my favourite parts of this hop is that you’ll get a chance to meet each blogger through some neat trivia! Here’s a little bit about today’s blogger, Leslie:
If you could bring one fictional character to life, who would it be and why?
Okay, so ask me tomorrow and I’ll probably give a different answer. But for now, the one that comes to mind is Dr. House. He would probably rip me to shreds and put me in tears within 30 seconds, but I do love witty one-liners.
If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
Is the budget unlimited? If so, I’m all in for throwing a welcome summer party for all our friends and family. We’d rent a sailboat out of Annapolis and sail all day, enjoying catered hors’d’ouvres and champagne (or beer for those who insist).

Do you have any special parties planned for this summer? We’ve got a major anniversary party in the works (not for us – for my parents!), along with a certain little lady’s 1st birthday. I can’t wait!
