Montreal Old Port Wedding | Elegant and timeless ballroom wedding at the Hotel Place D'Armes in Montreal's historic old port | Flourish & Knot | Montreal wedding florist | Wedding party in champagne with bouquets of roses in a warm neutral palette

Joy and colour were the foundation of the design of this queer wedding editorial, dreamt up by planner & wedding coach Carrie-Ann Kloda (The Wedding Coach), photographer Pam Kay, and us! A bright and vibrant floral palette, coupled with more neutral choices in the linens and accessories created contrast and a feeling of fresh modernity. We kept things fun and youthful with iridescent accents, and a mix of textures in the accessories.

We imagined a celebration at home, with a couple that valued all the “traditional” wedding bells and whistles (ceremony, cake, champagne, dinner, dancing), but on an intimate, luxurious scale.

Favouring one big WOW moment of lots of little floral pieces, the Flourish & Knot team created the ceremony installation with a gradient mix of colour.

The editorial was captured in the luminous Luma Lofts, and created with a powerhouse team of female-owned or led, queer-positive businesses. Our models, Charli and Talia, are a real couple and their love and authenticity shone through in every photo.
