Kristyna and Alexandre’s wedding day at the Golf Saint-Raphaël on Ile Bizard was rich in tradition, family, and romantic florals. It was a designer’s dream because Kristyna and Alexandre gave us a beautiful starting point for the vision, and then let us get creative! The result was a refined, garden-inspired look that was a joy to create.
Kristyna and Alexandre both have such a great sense of personal style. Their wedding day looks were complemented by floral in a chic, garden-gathered style. Kristyna’s bouquet featured wide-open Quicksand roses, ruffly little cappuccino roses, and the most stunning pink-and-white snowberry and white, bell-shaped campanula. I will forever be in love with that campanula! We finished it off with a gorgeous silk ribbon from The Maple Den.
The couple’s wedding ceremony took place at Archangel Michael and Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church, and we had the opportunity to create some special floral pieces to incorporate into the ceremony, including fresh floral lambades accents (traditionally, these are made out of silk florals and feature a lot of tulle and bows… Kristyna wanted a fresh take). They were really fun to make! The ceremony design itself was simple and elegant, with two beautiful altar pieces in brushed-gold urn vessels. We were able to transfer those over to the reception to add some wow factor to the entrance.
The cocktail hour took place on the sheltered terrace, where we potted up some perennial herbs and plants to serve as decor. Kristyna and Alexandre were able to take these home to add them to their new garden!
The reception room already had plenty of soft gold accents, and with the late-summer light streaming through the windows, it really seemed like everything was just softly gilded. I loved how this colour palette worked so seamlessly in the space. One of those gorgeous ones where everything * just works *. Love it!
