In May 2023, Karina & Tim celebrated their Restaurant Le Richmond wedding. It was a day filled with laughter and beautiful fine details! We were tasked with creating a romantic, candlelit space abundant in crisp white and green florals with natural, modern styling. Morgane of Agence Auréa did a wonderful job with partial planning and co-ordinating for Karina & Tim, and the celebration was beautifully captured by Lex and Benjamin.

Karina had a really specific vision for her wedding party florals, and we loved designing these chic, natural bouquets and boutonniere for her and Tim. Karina wanted an all-floral bouquet with asymmetry, some gentle cascading movement, flowers at varying heights, and a flowing silk ribbon. Check! For her bridesmaids, we worked within the same ingredients, incorporating some delicate foliage in order to set apart the bridal bouquet. Tim’s boutonniere was fresh and classic, and paired perfectly with his chic tux.

Karina & Tim chose to focus all of their floral and decor investment on their personals and reception, since their ceremony was taking place in one of the most ornate cathedrals in Montreal. This was a great decision, really allowing us to maximize their investment and create a truly stunning reception space for them and their guests to enjoy!

We always love to try new ideas or incorporate new uses for our existing accessories inventory. For Karina and Tim’s seating chart, we used our collection of antique-gold lanterns (see them used here and here and here!) with printed vellum inserts listing out the guests’ names and table assignments. When the light of the candles shone through the lantern, the seating “chart” was illuminated beautifully! It was So. Cool.

The tables at Restaurant Le Richmond are set together to create long rectangles. Given the more limited “real estate” of a rectangular table, we created centrepieces that were long and thin, paired with varying heights of floating candles and modern glass votives. Another cool feature of this design was that we varied the focal flowers in each table arrangement, meaning that some tables had all-rose pieces, some had all-tulip arrangements, and so on. The mono-botanical look helped us to bring a natural, garden vibe to the table design.

Karina and Tim’s Restaurant Le Richmond wedding couldn’t have been more romantic. All that candlelight and those classic white flowers were a total dream! Congratulations to the happy couple!
